Jeffrey J. Kenyon, OD, FAAO – Diplomate American Board of Optometry
Dr. Kenyon is a 2005 graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry. His internships included Duane L. Waters Hospital, Eaton Rapids Optometry, and Northern Indiana VA Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate studies at Ferris State University and Alpena Community College. Dr. Kenyon is residency trained in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is regarded as an expert in pediatric eye care. He is currently the Pediatric & Binocular Vision Clinic Director at West Michigan Eyecare Associates in Grand Rapids, part-time Clinical Faculty at the Michigan College of Optometry, and owner of Thornapple Eyecare in Middleville.
Dr. Kenyon was honored as the Michigan Optometric Association Young Optometrist of the year in 2011. He is a Class of 2007 Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a very high distinction among optometrists, as well as board certified by the American Board of Optometry in 2013. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, Michigan Optometric Association, West Michigan Optometric Association, College of Optometrists in Vision Development, former state leader for the InfantSEE program, and former chair of the Children’s Vision Committee for the Michigan Optometric Association. Dr. Kenyon resides in Middleville with his wife Laura and 3 daughters who are active in the TK school district. He serves on the Board of the TAPRC and is active in helping coach his daughters’ sports. He enjoys officiating high school basketball, hunting, fishing, and waterskiing.
Laura Kenyon, OD, FAAO – Diplomate American Board of Optometry
Dr. Kenyon is a 2005 graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry. Her internships included Duane L. Waters Hospital, Eaton Rapids Optometry, and Northern Indiana VA Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies at Ferris State University. Dr. Kenyon also completed a primary care residency with an emphasis in ocular disease at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Clinically, she has a particular interest in ocular disease and has completed her professional certification in low vision services to the blind and visually impaired in the State of Michigan. She works in the clinic at West Michigan Eyecare Associates and Thornapple Eyecare.
Dr. Kenyon is a Class of 2007 Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a very high distinction among optometrists, and board certified by the American Board of Optometry in 2013. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, Michigan Optometric Association, and past President of the West Michigan Optometric Association. Dr. Kenyon resides in Middleville with her husband Jeff and 3 daughters who are active in the TK school district. She is also very active in her church and enjoys exercising, reading, and raising her children in her spare time.
Madalyn Anderson
ABO Certified Optician and Office Manager
Madalyn has been in the Optical Industry since 2020 and is a certified, licensed Optician by the American Board of Opticianry. She performs a variety of tasks related to the smooth operation of the Optical Department. She is veary passionate about the newest and greatest lens technologies and is dedicated to helping you see your best. Madalyn is always working to continue her education to make sure you are getting the best quality eyewear on the market. If you have had troubles or issues in the past with glasses, come visit Madalyn as she is even more determined to get you into eyewear you will love and want to wear.
When she is not in the office, you will find her on her couch at home with her pets, reading a book or crocheting a new project.

Amy is proud to call Middleville home, where she lives with her husband. They have two beautiful daughters and three wonderful grandchildren. Outside of work, she enjoys running her small succulent business, gardening, caring for her animals, and painting. Amy became a Certified Optician through the American Board of Opticianry in 2002 and truly enjoys caring for our patients. She takes pride in ensuring that your glasses fit perfectly and that your vision and style are sharp!
Dana Manrose
Ophthalmic Technician and Patient Care Coordinator
Dana is an Ophthalmic Technician and Patient Care Coordinator at Thornapple Eye Care. You will find Dana interacting with patients, performing pretesting, collecting medical histories, and gathering information about patient’s conditions during their eye exams. She will also step in and field phone calls, check in patients, and book patients for future appointments. She enjoys personally connecting with patients and strives to provide excellent customer service for each guest. Dana and her family have been living and active in the Middleville area since 2003 and are excited to now be serving in the local community.
Jade Vanderkam
Ophthalmic Technician and Patient Care Coordinator
Jade has been working as an optometric technician since early 2025 and truly enjoys being part of the patient care experience. You will find her checking in patients, booking future exams and also collecting patient information and performing pre-exam tests and retinal images for our patients. She is passionate about providing compassionate, attentive care while continuing to learn and grow within the field of optometry! Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with friends and family. She also enjoys working on house renovations with her fiancé!
